Deliciously crispy bacon wrapped around crunchy water chestnuts, sweetened with brown sugar and soy sauce, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 can water chestnuts (about 14 ounces)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut each bacon strip in half.
  3. Wrap each water chestnut with a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
  4. Mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  5. Place the wrapped water chestnuts in a baking dish and pour the sugar mixture over them.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
  7. Serve warm with toothpicks.

Notes

These can be prepped ahead and stored in the fridge, and easily baked before serving.
