  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Prepare the chicken by placing it in a baking dish and pouring the balsamic mixture over it.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken.
  6. Melt the cheese by returning the chicken to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the balsamic mixture for a few hours or overnight. Fresh basil enhances the dish significantly.
