A nostalgic summer dessert combining the flavors of a classic banana split into a deliciously easy dump cake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (20 oz) sliced peaches in syrup
  • 23 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • Whipped cream (for serving)
  • Maraschino cherries (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the can of sliced peaches along with the syrup into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Layer the sliced bananas evenly over the peaches.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped nuts, shredded coconut, and chocolate chips evenly over the bananas.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the top of the layered ingredients.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the dry cake mix, ensuring it is evenly covered.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
  9. Serve with whipped cream and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Notes

Letting your cake cool slightly before serving helps everything set well for cleaner slices. Consider adding a splash of vanilla extract to the melted butter for extra flavor.
