An indulgent chocolate coffee cake that combines rich flavors of cocoa and brewed coffee for a delightful dessert experience.

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk until blended.
  3. Whisk the eggs, cooled coffee, vegetable oil, vanilla, and sour cream in another bowl until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack.
