A delightful combination of warm apple pie and creamy cheesecake, these pies are a cozy hug on a plate.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of pie crusts
  • 2 cups of peeled and sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup of sugar (for apples)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sugar (for cheesecake mixture)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Butter (for brushing)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the sliced apples with 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Beat together the cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Roll out the pie crust and cut into circles, about 4-5 inches in diameter.
  5. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and a spoonful of the apple mixture onto each circle.
  6. Fold the dough over and crimp the edges to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For best results, do not overfill the pies and chill your dough if it becomes sticky.
