A rich and gooey pie featuring crunchy pecans and a splash of bourbon, perfect for holiday gatherings.

  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup bourbon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add in the chopped pecans and chocolate chips, stirring until evenly mixed.
  4. Prepare your pie crust in a pie dish, ensuring it’s well-fitted.
  5. Fill the prepared crust with the luscious filling mixture.
  6. Bake in the oven for 60-70 minutes, or until set around the edges and golden brown on top.
  7. Allow to cool for at least 2 hours.
  8. Slice and serve at room temperature or chilled, optionally topped with whipped cream.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate chips for richer flavor. If the edges brown too quickly, cover them with aluminum foil.
