A delightful cake that captures the flavors of cinnamon rolls in an easy-to-make poke cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix (vanilla or yellow)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix together the cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil until smooth; pour into the baking dish.
  3. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  4. Swirl the cinnamon-sugar mixture into the cake batter using a knife or skewer.
  5. Bake according to package instructions or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool slightly in the baking dish.
  7. Prepare the glaze by mixing together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  8. Poke holes all over the top of the cake with a wooden spoon handle or straw; pour the glaze over the cake.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy!
