Delightful churro bites that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, made healthier in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Boil the Butter and Water: In a saucepan, combine water and butter; bring to a boil.
  2. Make the Dough: Stir in flour and salt until the mixture forms a ball.
  3. Allow to Cool: Remove from heat; let cool slightly.
  4. Incorporate Eggs: Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  5. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Pipe the Dough: Fill a piping bag with the dough and pipe small bite-sized pieces into the air fryer basket.
  7. Air Fry to Perfection: Cook for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Roll in Sugar: Roll the churro bites in the sugar mixture while warm.
  10. Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy!
