Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the Ingredients: In the crockpot, combine beef, carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic.
  2. Add the Broth and Seasonings: Pour in the beef broth and add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir to Combine Flavors: Stir to combine all the ingredients, ensuring that the flavors meld together.
  4. Cook Low or High: Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender and inviting.
  5. Remove bay leaves before serving. Enjoy your warm bowl of stew!

Notes

Browning the beef before adding it to the crockpot can deepen the flavor, but it’s not necessary for a delicious stew. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
