Learn how to make classic crepes from scratch, perfect for both sweet and savory fillings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Whisk the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, and salt until smooth and free of lumps.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Grease the skillet lightly with butter or oil.
  4. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the center of the hot skillet, swirling to coat the bottom.
  5. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges lift and the bottom is lightly browned.
  6. Flip the crepe and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
  8. Serve with your favorite fillings, sweet or savory.

Notes

Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes for a softer crepe. Use a ladle for even measurements.
