A nostalgic pound cake infused with the delightful flavors of strawberries and reminiscent of childhood strawberry milkshakes.

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry milkshake mix
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your loaf pan by greasing it.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then stir in vanilla extract and the strawberry milkshake mix.
  5. Combine the flour mixture with the wet ingredients, alternating with sour cream.
  6. Fold in the chopped fresh strawberries gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
