A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts in a rich and creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for cozy weeknight dinners.

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic; sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they’re soft.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat it with the sauce.
  8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with steamed asparagus, rice, or a fresh salad. Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
