An oversized, dreamy cookie cake that’s thick, chewy, and studded with melty chocolate chips, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • Optional: sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture until everything is combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a bit; then cut into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week. You can freeze individual squares for up to three months.
