Fluffy pancakes that bring warmth and comfort to your mornings, perfect for cherishing family moments.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Maple syrup (for serving)
  • Fresh fruits (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Give these dry ingredients a good mix; this will ensure the leavening agents distribute evenly throughout.
  2. Whisk together wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Remember, we’re looking for a lumpy batter—no overmixing here!
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or cooking oil.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup and accompanied by fresh fruits.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for better flavor. Substitute half the flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier twist.
