Delightful fusion of comfort food and snack-time fun, featuring hot dogs wrapped in soft, cheesy pizza dough.

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • Coarse sea salt
  • Mustard (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a clean surface and cut it into strips about 1 inch wide.
  3. Wrap each hot dog with a strip of pizza dough.
  4. Add cheese into the ends of each wrapped hot dog.
  5. Prepare a boiling water bath with baking soda.
  6. Boil each wrapped hot dog in the water for about 30 seconds.
  7. Transfer the pretzel dogs to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Serve with mustard for dipping.

Notes

For best results, lightly flour your hands to avoid sticking when working with the dough.
