A hearty breakfast sandwich featuring crispy bagel, savory steak, and a perfectly cooked egg topped with gooey melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 bagel, split and toasted
  • 4 ounces cooked steak, sliced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of cheese (cheddar or American)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Butter (for frying)
  • Optional toppings: avocado, hot sauce, or greens

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Crack the egg into the skillet and cook to your desired doneness with salt and pepper.
  3. Take the toasted bagel and layer the sliced steak on the bottom half.
  4. Once the egg is cooked, place it over the steak.
  5. Top with your chosen slice of cheese and cover briefly with the skillet lid.
  6. Place the top half of the bagel on and press down slightly.

Notes

This sandwich is great on its own or served with a fresh fruit salad or coffee.
