Scale
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic in a bowl.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and ensure they are fully coated in the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the marinated chicken thighs, and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  4. Prepare the rice according to your preferred method, then fluff when done.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Slice the rested chicken and serve it over the fluffy rice.
  7. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the chicken and rice, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken longer or add veggies like bell peppers or snap peas during cooking.
