A classic bagel breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, and optional bacon or sausage, perfect for any morning.

Ingredients

  • 2 bagels
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 slices of cheese (e.g., cheddar or American)
  • 2 slices of cooked bacon or sausage patty (optional)
  • Butter or cooking spray
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast the bagels until golden brown.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet with a little butter or cooking spray over medium heat.
  3. Crack the eggs into the skillet. Cook to your preference (sunny side up, scrambled, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add the bacon or sausage for a minute until heated through (if using).
  5. Melt a slice of cheese on each egg during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Assemble the sandwich by placing the egg and cheese on one half of the bagel, and top with bacon or sausage if desired. Cover with the other half of the bagel.
