A delightful twist on traditional fries; these baked carrot fries celebrate the natural sweetness of carrots paired with a creamy paprika garlic aioli.

Ingredients

  • Fresh carrots
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Smoked paprika
  • Mayonnaise
  • Fresh garlic
  • Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure that your fries turn out crispy.
  2. Wash and peel the carrots. Cut them into thin, fry-like strips.
  3. Combine the carrot strips with olive oil, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika in a large bowl.
  4. Spread the seasoned carrot fries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  6. Prepare the aioli by mixing mayonnaise, minced garlic, smoked paprika, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  7. Remove the fries from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with aioli.

Notes

Cut carrot strips evenly for uniform baking. For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or chili powder. Flip fries halfway through for optimal crispiness.
