Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  2. Whisk Together the Sauce: In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha until smooth and creamy.
  3. Dredge the Shrimp: Take each shrimp and dredge it in the flour mixture, coating each piece well.
  4. Heat the Oil: In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat, ensuring enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
  5. Fry until Golden Brown: Fry the shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Drain the Shrimp: Remove the fried shrimp and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Toss in the Sauce: In a large bowl, toss the crispy shrimp in the sauce mixture until evenly coated.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Serve immediately, garnished with green onions.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider serving the sauce on the side for dipping. You can also experiment with the spice level of the sauce.
