A warm, hearty sandwich filled with sweet and smoky BBQ Pulled Chicken, perfect for gatherings or family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Buns for serving
  • Coleslaw for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add to the skillet, cooking for about 5 minutes per side until browned.
  3. Pour the BBQ sauce over the chicken, cover, and reduce heat to low.
  4. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the skillet, mixing it with the BBQ sauce.
  7. Serve on buns with coleslaw if desired.

Notes

For a different flavor, try adding apple cider vinegar or smoked paprika. You can also use a slow cooker for easy preparation.
