A comforting and refreshing dish featuring tender beef and crisp broccoli enveloped in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak, sliced thin)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce Mixture: In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.
  2. Sear the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Stir-Fry the Vegetables: In the same pan, add broccoli, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until broccoli is tender but still crisp.
  4. Combine Everything: Return beef to the pan and pour the sauce mixture over the top. Stir until the sauce thickens and everything is well coated.
  5. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a pan, adding a splash of water or broth if needed.
