A classic comfort food dish featuring tender marinated beef and vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef in a bowl with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add broccoli florets and minced garlic to the skillet and stir-fry for about 2 minutes until bright green.
  6. Pour in beef broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet and drizzle in sesame oil; mix well for 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

For optimal tenderness, slice beef against the grain and do not crowd the pan while cooking.
