A simple and comforting beer bread that is easy to make and deliciously flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 12 ounces beer (light or dark)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Pour in the beer and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; lumps are okay!
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. For an extra treat, drizzle melted butter on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with butter or using for sandwiches.

Notes

Experiment with different beer types for unique flavors. Add herbs, cheese, or cooked bacon bits for extra flavor.
