Indulge in these fudgy, nutritious brownies made with black beans that satisfy your sweet tooth while being gluten-free and protein-packed.

  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the black beans, peanut butter (or almond butter), honey (or maple syrup), cocoa powder, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt in a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the dark chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes
