Delicious blackened salmon tacos filled with fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors, perfect for summer evenings.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • Corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the salmon fillets liberally with blackening seasoning.
  3. Add a little oil to the heated skillet, then carefully place the seasoned salmon fillets in.
  4. Cook them for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  5. Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave.
  7. Grab a tortilla and place a generous amount of flaked salmon on it.
  8. Top it off with shredded cabbage, slices of avocado, diced tomatoes, and fresh cilantro.
  9. Serve your tacos with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

Ensure the skillet is hot before placing the salmon to achieve a beautiful blackened crust. Leftovers can be stored separately in airtight containers.
