A simple yet decadent dessert that combines cheesecake and blueberry flavors in a delightful dump cake.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (15.25 oz) classic yellow or white cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the cream cheese until smooth. Add in half a cup of sugar and one egg, mixing until well combined.
  3. Prepare a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, and spread the blueberries evenly across the bottom. Sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  4. Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the blueberries and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix evenly.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let the cake cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for 2 months.
