A rich and aromatic Bolognese sauce that evokes memories and brings comfort through its delightful flavors, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 celery stalk, diced
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup red wine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb pasta of choice
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Sauté the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrot, and diced celery to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables soften.
  3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and red wine to create the sauce.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then allow to simmer for 30-45 minutes.
  5. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  6. Serve the Bolognese sauce generously over the cooked pasta, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes
