A simple yet comforting Italian dish made with spaghetti, Pecorino Romano cheese, black pepper, and salt.

Ingredients

  • Spaghetti
  • Pecorino Romano cheese
  • Black pepper
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti by bringing a large pot of salted water to a vigorous boil. Add the spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Reserve one cup of the starchy pasta water and drain the spaghetti in a colander.
  3. Combine the hot spaghetti with a generous portion of freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Create the creamy sauce by adding freshly cracked black pepper and a splash of reserved pasta water to the bowl.
  5. Toss everything together until the spaghetti is fully coated in the sauce. Add more pasta water if needed for consistency.
  6. Serve immediately, garnishing with extra Pecorino and black pepper.

Notes

Use high-quality Pecorino Romano cheese for the best flavor, and remember to salt your pasta water!
