  • 8 oz pasta (e.g., fettuccine or linguine)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the shrimp and Cajun seasoning; cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the diced bell pepper, onion, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back into the skillet; toss to combine.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using half-and-half or coconut milk, though the flavor will change slightly.
