A delightful Cajun Shrimp Pasta that’s quick and easy to prepare, combining vibrant flavors and creamy sauce for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta according to package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook the shrimp and Cajun seasoning until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-4 minutes. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Sauté bell pepper, onion, and garlic in the same skillet until the vegetables are tender and fragrant.
  5. Create the creamy sauce by stirring in the heavy cream and bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  6. Melt the parmesan cheese into the sauce, stirring until it creates a rich, creamy consistency.
  7. Combine the shrimp back into the skillet with the sauce.
  8. Mix in the cooked pasta, tossing everything together until well coated.
  9. Final touches: Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

This pasta dish pairs beautifully with a crisp green salad and garlic bread. Reheat leftovers gently, adding moisture if needed.
