Delicious Carne Asada Tacos filled with marinated flank steak, fresh cilantro, and zesty salsa, all wrapped in warm tortillas.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Corn tortillas
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Chopped onions
  • Salsa

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, lime juice, ground cumin, chili powder, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Marinate the Flank Steak: Immerse the flank steak in the marinade. Cover and let soak for at least 1 hour.
  3. Grill the Steak: Preheat your grill to medium-high. Cook the flank steak for about 7-10 minutes on each side.
  4. Let It Rest: Transfer the steak to a cutting board and allow to rest for a few minutes.
  5. Warm the Tortillas: Warm corn tortillas on the grill or stovetop for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Assemble the Tacos: Slice the steak thinly against the grain and place onto each tortilla with chopped cilantro, onions, and salsa.

Notes

Let your steak come to room temperature before grilling for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer for doneness.
