Grilled Cheese Burrito

A delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, wrapped into a hearty burrito.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 1 large tortilla
  • 1/2 cup of cooked protein (chicken, beef, or beans)
  • 1/4 cup of cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup of salsa
  • Butter for grilling

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in a skillet, and sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
  3. Add the cooked protein, rice, and salsa, then top with the remaining cheese and the second slice of bread (butter side up).
  4. Cook until the bread is golden brown, flipping carefully to toast the other side.
  5. Remove from the pan, place the grilled cheese on a tortilla, and roll up to form a burrito.
  6. Optionally, grill the burrito in the pan for a minute to seal the edges and add extra crunch.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy your Grilled Cheese Burrito!

Notes

Use a non-stick skillet for easier flipping and consider adding fresh veggies for nutrition.
