A simple and delightful dessert that combines cherry pie filling with buttery cake mix, perfect for gatherings and cozy nights.

Ingredients

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly on the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the cherry filling.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix.
  5. Add walnuts on top if using.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the cake is golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
