A comforting and delicious Chicken Parmesan Casserole, perfect for busy weeknights. This dish combines crispy cheese, savory chicken, and rich marinara in an easy-to-prepare format.

  • 4 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken recommended)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (e.g., penne or rotini)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • To taste: salt
  • To taste: pepper
  • For garnish: fresh basil or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper for about 5 minutes until heated through.
  3. Mix the pasta, marinara sauce, half of the Parmesan cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese in a large bowl.
  4. Combine the seasoned chicken with the pasta mixture and toss until well distributed.
  5. Assemble the mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Add the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Bake covered with foil for 30 minutes.
  8. Finish baking uncovered for an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil or parsley.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
