Delicious chocolate chip cookies that are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl; gradually blend this mixture into the creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For chewier cookies, refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
