  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving enough space between each scoop.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
