These Chocolate Cocoa Puffs are a delightful blend of flavor and crunch, made with wholesome ingredients for guilt-free indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the rolled oats in a food processor or high-speed blender and pulse until they form a fine flour-like consistency, about 30-45 seconds.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the oat flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together until evenly distributed.
  4. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
  5. Add the honey and water to the melted chocolate, stirring well.
  6. Pour the mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until a moldable dough forms. Adjust consistency with more water or oat flour as needed.
  7. Roll small portions of dough into pea-sized balls, about 1/4 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking after 15 minutes; the puffs should be firm and slightly darkened.
  9. Let them cool completely on the baking sheet before transferring to an airtight container.

Notes

These puffs can be paired with almond milk or yogurt topped with fruit. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
