Classic Coleslaw

A refreshing and crunchy coleslaw that pairs perfectly with grilled meats and summer meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 small head of green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 medium carrots, grated
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Shred the cabbage in a large bowl, finely shredding it into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Grate the carrots into thin shreds for added color and sweetness.
  3. Combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots in the bowl.
  4. Whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt and pepper in a separate bowl.
  5. Dress the salad by pouring the dressing over the cabbage and carrots, tossing until evenly coated.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance flavors.

Notes

For a sweeter variation, consider adding chopped apples or raisins. To make it lighter, swap mayonnaise for Greek yogurt.
