A classic dessert that perfectly balances sweet and tart flavors, featuring a buttery graham cracker crust and fluffy whipped cream topping.

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • Whipped cream, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan to form a crust.
  4. Bake crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.
  5. Whisk together egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and lime zest in another bowl.
  6. Pour the filling into the baked crust.
  7. Bake in the oven for an additional 15 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  9. Serve topped with whipped cream.

Notes

For a crunchier crust, bake it a little longer, but watch closely to avoid burning. Use fresh lime zest for better flavor.
