A simple yet delightful Classic Pound Cake that evokes nostalgia and warmth.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with flour.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes.
  7. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then on a wire rack.
