  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 4 Burger buns
  • Cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce (optional)
  • Tomato (optional)
  • Onion (optional)
  • Ketchup (optional)
  • Mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet or griddle over high heat until hot.
  2. Take the ground beef and roll it into balls, about 4 ounces each.
  3. Place the beef balls onto the hot skillet and smash them flat.
  4. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.
  5. Let the burgers cook for 2-3 minutes to form a crust, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. If using cheese, place a slice on each burger during the last minute of cooking.
  7. Toss the burger buns onto the skillet for about 1 minute until lightly golden brown.
  8. Take the toasted buns and assemble your burgers with desired toppings and condiments.

Notes

For the best crust, avoid moving the patties too much while cooking. Mix in herbs or spices for added flavor.
