A Classic Tiramisu featuring layers of silky mascarpone cream infused with rich coffee, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Whisk together egg yolks and sugar in a saucepan until smooth. Place over medium heat, gradually add milk while stirring until thickened. Remove from heat and cool.
  2. Whip the cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, then gently fold in mascarpone cheese.
  3. Prepare a coffee mixture by blending cooled coffee with coffee liqueur (if using).
  4. Layer the dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of your serving dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then add another layer of dipped ladyfingers and finish with the remaining mascarpone mixture.
  6. Chill for at least 4 hours, then dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

Serve with espresso or sweet dessert wine. Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
