Enjoy a healthier take on classic fried pickles, crispy and delicious thanks to the air fryer!

Ingredients

  • Dill pickles
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Cornmeal
  • 1 Egg
  • Flour
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Slice the dill pickles into chips, aiming for uniform thickness.
  2. In one bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Crack and beat an egg in another bowl until thoroughly blended.
  4. Dredge each pickle slice in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  7. Arrange the coated pickle slices in a single layer in the basket.
  8. Air fry the pickles for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Use thick dill pickles for best results. Try adding grated Parmesan for extra flavor.
