  • Medium-sized flour tortillas (about 8-10 inch)
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • Mexican blend cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon water or milk (for egg wash, optional)
  • Olive oil or melted butter (optional for browning)
  • Finely diced raw red onion (optional)
  • Caramelized onions (optional)
  • Sliced fresh jalapeños (optional)
  • Pickled jalapeños (optional)
  • Crumble cooked beef bacon bits (optional)
  • Ketchup (optional)
  • Mustard (optional)
  • Non-alcoholic BBQ sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Warm the tortillas in the microwave for 10-15 seconds if not pliable.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat and spread a thin layer of sauce if desired.
  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese across the tortilla, then place a hot dog on top.
  5. Fold one side of the tortilla over the hot dog, then fold in the ends and roll tightly.
  6. Whisk one egg with water/milk for egg wash (optional) and brush over the wrapped hot dogs.
  7. Bake for 12-18 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Cool for a minute before serving.

Notes
