A comforting and flavorful slow-cooked Mississippi pot roast that is perfect for family gatherings and busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 34 lbs chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chuck roast in the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the top of the roast.
  3. Pour sliced pepperoncini and the liquid from the jar over the roast.
  4. Place the butter on top of the roast.
  5. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  6. Shred the meat with forks and serve with the juices.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, salad, or on sandwiches. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 4 days.
