Delightfully crunchy churro toffee inspired by Disneyland, combining rich toffee and melted chocolate for a magical treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the butter, granulated sugar, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until it simmers and cook for 5-7 minutes until light golden.
  3. Pour the toffee mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Allow them to melt and spread into an even layer.
  6. Mix powdered sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and sprinkle generously over the melted chocolate.
  7. Cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
