  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)
  • Fresh fruit (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, and salt until smooth.
  3. Melt the butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
  4. Pour in the batter once the butter is melted and bubbling.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar once removed from the oven.
  7. Serve immediately topped with fresh fruit if desired.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs and milk for a smoother batter. Avoid opening the oven door while baking for a puffy result.
