Delightful blondies with a caramel-like richness, topped with cinnamon sugar for a perfect fall treat.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan evenly.
  7. Mix the granulated sugar with the remaining cinnamon for the topping.
  8. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the batter generously.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan before slicing into squares.
