A refreshing drink made with ripe mangoes and fresh strawberries, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped ripe mangoes
  • 1.5 to 2 cups hulled fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups filtered water (divided)
  • 12 tablespoons sweetener (optional, e.g., agave nectar, honey, or simple syrup)
  • Fresh lime juice (to taste)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your fruit by peeling mangoes, removing the pits, and chopping them into chunks; hull the strawberries and rinse under cold water.
  2. Blend the chopped mango with 1 cup of filtered water and sweetener until smooth; strain if desired and set aside.
  3. Blend the hulled strawberries with another cup of filtered water and sweetener until smooth; strain if preferred.
  4. Combine the strawberry puree with the mango puree in a pitcher, adjusting the consistency with more filtered water as needed.
  5. Season the mixture with additional sweetener, fresh lime juice, and salt to taste.
  6. Chill the agua fresca for at least 30 minutes before serving over ice.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir well before serving.
